Festival of the winds is one of the most popular event in Sydney. Hundreds of kites of all different colours, shapes and sizes dominate the skyline creating a magical spectacle. 31 th annual Festival of the Winds - an event which attracts kite enthusiasts from around the world took place at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Sunday, September 13. Scavenged all the winds of Sydney's beach provides ideal conditions for kite flying. The festival was attended by both beginners and the real experts from the Australian Society of kites. Many participants of the festival ran designed his own kites.
The fire festival "Up-Helly-Aa"
"Up-Helly-Aa" is a very impressive spectacle, a celebration of Shetland history, and a triumphant demonstration of the islanders' skills and spirit. This northern Mardi Gras lasts just one day (and night) and held on the last Tuesday in January. Only men can take an active part in the celebrations "Up-Helly-Aa". The first celebration was in 1878.

The event will take place at Portugal's largest venue, the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon. The international event will start at 21:30 (9:30 p.m.) local time, ending at 23 (11 p.m.).
The international show, which will include award-presentation appearances by Hilary Swank, Ben Kingsley, Bipasha Basu, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neil Armstrong and Bertrand Piccard, and also will feature performances by Chaka Khan, Jennifer Lopez, Jose Carreras, Alessandro Safina, Joaquín Cortés, and Dulce Pontes, among others.
